Winter Weather

  • Snow: Precipitation in the form of ice crystals that accumulate on the ground, often creating picturesque winter landscapes.

  • Snowstorms: Intense snowfall that can reduce visibility and create hazardous driving conditions.

  • Blizzards: Severe snowstorms with strong winds and very low visibility, making travel extremely dangerous.

  • Ice Storms: Rain that freezes upon contact with surfaces, coating everything in a layer of ice and often leading to power outages and hazardous walking/driving conditions.

  • Frost: Formation of ice crystals on surfaces when the temperature drops below freezing, often seen on windows and grass.

  • Cold Waves: Extended periods of extremely cold weather, which can pose risks to health and safety, particularly for vulnerable populations.

Winter weather can be both beautiful and challenging. Stay warm and safe!
